ACRA was founded to address the escalating climate crisis that disproportionately affects Tanzania’s smallholder farmers and pastoralists. Rising temperatures, erratic rainfall, and prolonged droughts threaten livelihoods, food security, and ecosystems across the country. Recognizing that climate change is not just an environmental issue but also a humanitarian and economic challenge, we mobilize local knowledge, innovation, and partnerships to build adaptive solutions. As a not-for-profit, we unite farmers, communities, experts, and global allies in co-designing sustainable strategies that restore landscapes, improve agricultural productivity, and protect vulnerable populations from climate shocks.
