Membership in the Agropastoral Climate Resilience Alliance (ACRA) is open to all individuals who share our mission of empowering agro-pastoral communities and addressing climate change impacts in Tanzania. As outlined in our constitution, becoming a member means being part of a united body working toward sustainability, inclusion, and community development.

📝 Who Can Join?

ACRA is a voluntary organization, and membership is open to any individual aged 18 years and above who is committed to promoting the organization’s vision and mission.

🧾 Types of Membership

ACRA has three categories of members:

1. Founder Members
   Individuals who played a key role in establishing the organization.

2. Honorary Members
   Individuals recognized for their distinguished contributions to the organization or its goals. (Note: Honorary members do not have voting rights.)

3. Ordinary Members
   Regular active members who meet the requirements and have full participation rights, including voting and leadership eligibility.

✅ Rights of Members

All members have the right to:

• Participate in elections and decision-making (except honorary members)

• Receive and review organizational reports

• Attend general meetings and activities

• Be supported and represented by the organization

• Access information about programs and activities

📌 Duties & Obligations of Members

As a member of ACRA, you are expected to:

• Pay the annual membership fee and any other agreed contributions

• Abide by the organization’s constitution

• Participate in meetings and activities

• Uphold the organization’s values of transparency and accountability

🚫 Membership Termination

Membership may cease due to the following:

• Voluntary resignation (in writing)

• Death

• Failure to attend three consecutive meetings without a valid reason

• Conviction or acts of dishonesty, pending dismissal approved by the General Assembly
